This position is under the Defense Health Agency Pacific Market Hawaii Region with the Director of Branch Clinics, Army Health Clinic, Urgent Care Clinic located at the Army Health Clinic Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
This is a Direct Hire Solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DOD workforce.
Federal employees in Hawaii are currently entitled to receive a 9.
28% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary.

Duties Provide independent and collaborative specialty, comprehensive and therapeutic health care services.
Collaborate with physicians and other team members regarding patient management.
Provide educational management to patients and their families regarding disease processes and diagnostic tests.
Perform medical management functions to include assessment of acute, non-acute and chronic clinical and psychological diagnosis, new patient intake/screening and history and physical examination.
Conduct laboratory and diagnostic studies to include interpretation, ordering appropriate medications and treatments.
Evaluate therapeutic plans.
Revise therapeutic plans.
Provide counseling to patients and their families for prevention of illness and maintenance of health, in order to assist patients in attaining physical, mental, and social well-being.
Responsible for the initiation, implementation and supervision of treatment plans and education for chronic conditions.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
This position has specific initial background investigation and periodic re-verification requirements since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age on a recurring basis.
This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing.
Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
A pre-placement medical examination may be required.
This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is, therefore, subjected to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.

The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.
This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons.
Moderate to Heavy Lifting 45 lbs This position requires the incumbent to work on a shift schedule (i.

Panama Schedule, 2-2-3) including nights, weekends, holidays, with on-call coverage of 24 hours.
Only holiday?s off are Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year?s.
Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American RedCross.
Advanced certification (e.

Advanced Practice Nurse PositionsFor Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) positions, applicants must possess a graduate or higher level degree in nursing from an accredited educational program in the area of expertise or specialty indicated by the position.
This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (external link), Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (external link), Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (external link), or an accrediting body recognized by the U.
