Job Description:
This position works under the general guidance & supervision of the Lead Motor Vehicle Dispatcher and Transportation Operations Supervisor.
This individual dispatches and tracks vehicles, equipment and containers, schedules transportation services, processes accident reports, administers eye/reaction tests for military licenses, prepares detailed documents, and maintains activity/mission reporting logs, coordinates equipment maintenance/repair.
Works closely with management to ensure all requirements are met and/or exceeded and customers are satisfied with transportation services.
Essential job duties include:
Ensuring drivers/customers have proper credentials prior to dispatching equipment.
Dispatching vehicles/equipment to drivers/customers while maintaining dispatch activity logs.
Inspecting equipment when opening/closing a dispatch to ensure serviceability.
Entering mileage of dispatched equipment into GSA Drive Thru and GCSS-Army data bases as well as onto internal trackers Tracking/assisting with movement and inspections of ISO containers using Joint Container Management database.
Processing Transportation Movement Requests (TMRs), enter onto internal tracker, and track for approval.
Processing accident reports to meet reporting requirements and to initiate damage repair.
Administering eye/reaction tests to issue military licenses.
Maintaining all internal tracking logs and reports as assigned.
Coordinating maintenance and repair of department vehicles to expedite work and maximize benefits of warranties and service contracts.
Assisting internal and external customers via email, telephone, and in person professionally, courteously, and efficiently Reading/understanding/following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Reading/understanding the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and its requirements.

Cross utilization in other job duties such as safety, security and environmental Housekeeping of office areas, warehouse, and container yard Forklift certification and operation for container management Mission ride along to learn and assess delivery/pick-up locations.
Overtime work as required.
Other duties as deemed necessary.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically performed in well-ventilated and lighted areas or department vehicles but could also be assigned outdoors whenever scheduled to assist with container management.
May be required to lift 25 to 50 pounds without assistance.
May be required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time while working.
Requirements:
US citizenship Valid state driver's license High School Diploma or equivalent At least 2 years administrative experience At least 2 years customer service experience Knowledge of DOT, Federal and Army transportation regulations preferred.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills Amazing customer service skills Proficient in MS Office 365 software applications Detail oriented and well organized Team player and self-starter Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Superior multi-tasking skills Ability to obtain and maintain NACI clearance.
