Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Planner for a Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC).
Planner manages the development, coordination, support and execution of planning requirements which include all staff disciplines and all Directorate staff inputs. Ensures the TSOC's development, process and products complement the products and intent of the Geographic Combatant Commands (GCC) and Functional Combatant Command (FCC). Integrates US Government CWMD directives and guidance with TSOC planning products. Reviews and develops input to the Theater Strategy/Estimate, Operational Planning Guidance, Country Action Plans and all other planning required. Integrates Special Operations Forces unique capabilities and requirements into TSOC and GCC campaign plans in support of CWMD related activities. Leverages the DoD and Interagency scientific enterprise to capitalize on their unique special skill set to incorporate appropriate levels of technical expertise into TSOC CWMD planning. Supports response to GCC and FCC assigned CWMD planning directives and represents the TSOC during the GCC/FCC CWMD planning processes. Formulates additional SOF CWMD input to include CWMD specific planning requirements to GCC's Theater Campaign Plan and all other planning requirements as well as FCC strategic planning documents and processes. Additionally have direct coordination and management responsibilities for TSOC input to GCC CONPLANs. This will include coordination with GCC for SOF supporting requirements and development of a TSOC Supporting Plan. Coordinates with and provides SOF CWMD expertise to FCC/GCC staff personnel, subordinate Unified Commands, US Interagency elements, and coalition partners.
Qualifications
:
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in addition to 10 years of relevant experience.
Required
Experience: Knowledge of national CWMD and Counter Proliferation strategy, policy, and DoD plans. TS/SCI clearance required
Desired Skills and
Experience: Post 9/11 experience in the Asian-Pacific area of responsibility. 3
years experience working in support of US SOF or SOF qualified is preferred. Previous service in a CWMD/CP oriented agency, organization, unit or position.
